Welcome to the Aberdeen Youth Music Forum (AYMF).

AYMF is for discussing and developing music opportunities for young people in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.

The AYMF will also model an approach which gives young people a greater say in the youth music sector through initiatives which will help meet local challenges and aspirations, with a particular focus on how the sector can navigate the COVID-19 situation.

We aim to make connections with a range of music services and organisations and with groups of young people to get everyone talking about what works well and what we might do in the future.

We’ll do this by forming a network to connect and support the people that deliver youth music activity, happening online from November 2020 – April 2021. See our Opportunities Listings for dates and further information about these gatherings or follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

As and when it is safe to do so, we will also introduce ways for young people to become involved in a Young People’s Music Network.
