We're delighted to announce that shmu has been awarded over £29,000 by Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative (YMI) to run ‘Pitching Up’, an exciting new Access to Music Making project, in 2022.

The project will be run in partnership with Aberdeen and London-based music publisher PitchPlay Music and be delivered by 57 North.

‘Pitching Up’ will provide the opportunity for young people aged 16-25 in Aberdeen & Aberdeenshire to take part in songwriting and music production workshops, tutorials and events, including working with briefs for music required by artists, labels, games, TV & film.

Work on the project will begin in January 2022.
