Bursaries available to attend Wide Days 2017
Tuesday 28th March 2017
Wide Days have announced a partnership with Help Musicians UK (HMUK) to offer a limited number of discounted bursary passes for this year’s Wide Days music industry convention in Edinburgh, which takes place on the 21st and 22nd of April.
Fifty accreditations for the convention will be granted for £25, less than a third of the full price of £85, for emerging musical and industry talent. A small number of free passes will also be awarded for those meeting special criteria.
Open to anyone not in full-time education (student/U18 passes for the event are also available), the deadline for applications is Friday 31 March and successful candidates will be required to attend a special induction hosted by Help Musicians at the beginning of the event.
Help Musicians UK said the partnership underpins the charity’s commitment to developing stronger links with the Scottish music industry and comes ahead of plans to have a permanent presence in Scotland later this year.

Wide Days was launched in 2010 and is Scotland’s only music business convention. In 2014 it was named Best Networking Event at the Yearly Music Convention Awards, was runner up in the same category in 2015 and was also nominated for Best Convention Venue in 2016.
This year's convention will once again see a number of seminars and showcase gigs take place.
