57N/SMIA/MU Music PR Workshop in Aberdeen

In partnership with The Musician’s Union and The Scottish Music Industry Association, we're running a half-day workshop aimed at giving anyone working in music the confidence and know-how to manage their own successful PR.
Led by Vicky Pitchers of Arts PR, the workshop will cover topics such as:
- Planning a PR campaign
- PR Strategies
- How to approach the press and media
- Writing a press release
When: Saturday 18th March, 12.00 - 3.30pm (That's the day after our 'Meet the Music Organisations' event, FREE places are available for that here)

Vicky Pitchers Vicky has been a freelance arts PR for 11 years covering classical and contemporary music, festivals, solo artists, CD launches, concert tours, film companies and award ceremonies.
PR clients include: Classics Marathon Day with Nicola Benedetti (part of the official Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games cultural programme), Red Note Ensemble, New Town Theatre at Edinburgh Fringe, Edinburgh International Magic Festival, NYCoS, RSNO, Faber Music, Solas Festival, Manchester Camerata, City of London Sinfonia and Des Clarke.
Vicky is also an award-winning broadcaster with 16 years' experience in radio, sponsorship, promotions and events. She has also developed and delivered promotional campaigns for Coca Cola, Bacardi and Miller Genuine Draft, hosted Save the Children Gala Dinner and the Scottish Executive Excellence Awards, reported backstage from MTV VMA's and Live 8 and launched the first T in the Park campsite broadcast.
As PR & Marketing Manager at House of Fraser Vicky helped launch new brands Untold, Zandra Rhodes tableware and Roja Dove perfumerie.
